Privacy on myip.wi24rd.com
In short
Wi24rd stores nothing about you. The page shows you what it can see – and forgets it again. The only one processing your connection besides your own browser is Cloudflare, which runs the network behind the page.
Who is behind it
myip.wi24rd.com is run by Wi24rd, a Danish open-source software house. You can write via wi24rd.com/en/contact.
What is processed
Your IP address and what your browser itself sends with a request (such as language and browser version). From the IP address Cloudflare looks up country, city and internet provider. If you press “Look up” next to reverse DNS, the server looks up your IP address with Cloudflare’s DNS – and the name server of whoever owns the address can see the lookup. The measurements under “Show everything” – fingerprints, hardware, fonts and WebRTC – happen only in your browser and are not sent to Wi24rd.
Why, and on what basis
To show you exactly what you asked for: what a website can see about you. The basis is Wi24rd’s legitimate interest in delivering the service you open yourself (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
What is stored
Nothing at Wi24rd. The Worker has no database, no storage and no logging, and the page uses no browser storage – not even for your choice of light or dark theme. The only cookie is set by the third-party cookie test when you press “Show everything”: an invisible frame from Wi24rd’s test domain wi24rd.click sets two test cookies, reads them and deletes them again at once (they live 5 seconds at most). Only the result – blocked, partitioned or allowed – is sent back to the page, and the server behind wi24rd.click never sees the cookies.
Cloudflare
The page runs on Cloudflare, Inc., which processes connection data to deliver and protect the site and may transfer data to the US under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. As for every site on Cloudflare, Wi24rd can see requests blocked by Cloudflare’s defences in Cloudflare’s security overview for a limited period. The WebRTC test (after a click) asks Cloudflare’s STUN server which address it sees.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and objection. As Wi24rd stores nothing, there is nothing to hand over or delete here. You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.
Accessibility
The page is built to work with keyboard, screen reader, 400% zoom, high contrast and reduced motion and is tested against WCAG 2.2 AA. If something does not work for you, write via wi24rd.com/en/contact.
